Need suggestions for a career change?
cece asked:
I work as a nurse and am burnt out. I need suggestions for a career change. I’m too old to want to go into debt for student loans. I’m great with paperwork. Tired of crabby people, job politics and and shift work. Any suggestions?

Okay,so you know your strengths… and you know what you DON’T want. Start asking EVERYBODY for suggestions. You didn’t mention if money was a priority, just that you don’t want student loans.
If living wages is not a huge issue, I suggest working someplace where a discount can help. Like if you love gardening, or need to do some home improvements… try one ot the big Do-It-Youself Hardware Giants. They don’t pay big money but you could get a decent discount.
Or… pursue the same career in a different area. Like if you’re a nurse in a hospital… move to a physician’s office. I also know a friend in Human Resource and she hires Administrative level for Nursing Homes.
I’m serious about talking to people. Don’t approach the subject as a complaint. Just ask everybody. And DON’T give immediate reasons why that “won’t” work. Just shut up and listen and maybe… you’ll catch a spark of an idea!
Good Luck!

Probeer het vinden van een baan op het postkantoor! Tenminste daar kun je dus een excuus om te gaan postsector!
